Unpredictability makes accurate forecasting and planning more difficult, even in the short term. We may understand some of the causes of the current volatility but the consequences are harder to anticipate and shape.

The resulting polarisation impacts on policy formulation as minority administrations and divided polities try to reach consensus. Changes in communication techniques amplify and distort political debate as opinions and facts blur.  The speed of change is disorientating.

A former Fine Gael policy adviser Jimmy previously worked in Brussels for the International Duty Free Confederation and spent two years in London as a senior political consultant for leading agency GJW Government Relations.

Having returned to Dublin, Jimmy held senior positions in leading international consultancies Fleishman-Hillard and Edelman PR specialising in the wider public affairs sector and has a detailed understanding of the decision making process allied to strong government and policy relationships.

Partnering with clients on industry award winning public awareness campaigns Jimmy has specific expertise in healthcare, financial services, retail, local government and planning, ICT, statutory bodies and not for profit.

He has an MA in the History of EU Integration from University College Dublin and a BA in History and Italian.
